Paikyone, 23 September
Officials from the Township Department of Social Welfare under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement disbursed social pension to senior citizens aged 85 and above in Paikyone sub-Township, Kayin State on 23 September.
Under this cash aid program, 28 elderly people who are eligible to receive social pension in the sub-Township received Ks. 30000 each for the months of July, August and September in this fiscal year.
There are 138 senior citizens including 221 women and 138 men from five wards and 27 village tracts in the sub-Township, according to an official from the Township General Administration Department.—Naw Khu(IPRD)
