Six injured in ARSA ambush on border police in Maungtaw

A vehicle carrying border guard police was ambushed by ARSA terrorists in Maungtaw, Rakhine State, on 16 January, and six police were injured in the attack.

 

The car carrying border guard police from No.2 Border Guard Police Headquarters was attacked by some 10 ARSA terrorists with small arms at about 1.05 pm on 16 January near a bridge in Watkyein Village in Maungtaw Township.

 

The injured were taken to the Tatmadaw Hospital in Buthidaung.

 

The Myanmar Police Force has reviewed the situation, noting that ARSA terrorists were active in the western part of the Mayu Mountain range, while AA insurgents were located in the eastern part of the mountain range dividing the areas. —MNA (Translated by Kyaw Zin Lin)
