Slight earthquake shakes Salin Township

No immediate reports of damages or casualties were available following a slight earthquake which was recorded this afternoon, according to a source from the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).


An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar hit about 2 miles south-southeast of Salin, Magway Region. It was recorded at 1:20 p.m. today at a latitude of 20.54°N, and longitude of 94.66°E, with a depth of 28 kilometers and about 109 miles northwest of the Nay Pyi Taw seismological observatory, the DMH announced.—DMH
