Mr.Date Kotaro from KPS Industry Co.,Ltd of Japan offered a solar-powered water pump worth US$ 6,000 to Bago Region Government this morning.

At the donation ceremony, Mr. Date Kotaro delivered a speech, saying that the company together with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has provided solar-powered water pumps for regional development throughout Myanmar.

Bago Region Chief U Win Thein expressed words of thanks over the donations, inviting the firm to invest in Myanmar which practices the open-door policy for economic growth. The solar water pump produced by the company is environmental friendly as it relies solely on renewable energy, he added.

The chief minister accepted the related documents and then presented a certificate of honor to the donor. The Japanese side explained about water pump. Also present on the occasion were the Secretary of Bago Region Government, high-ranking departmental officials and those from KPS Industry Co.,Ltd.-Tin Soe (Bago)
