Some areas in MraukU submerged by floodwaters

MraukU, 14 July

Some residents who reside in low-lying areas in MraukU Township, Rakhine State are taking refuge at safer places to escape from floodwaters from the Laymyo River after the township witnessed incessant rains since 12 July.

People from four villages in the township are taking shelter at monasteries and their relatives’ houses as their villages have been inundated by floods triggered by torrential rains. The water level of Laymyo River has exceeded its danger level due to heavy rains.
