To support the continued growth and development of the agricultural sector in Khaunglangphu Township, Putao District, Kachin State, a ceremony was held on June 3 at 9:00 a.m. at the meeting hall of the General Administration Department. The event marked the official transfer of State Economic Promotion Funds by the Township Agriculture Department.
During the ceremony, U Aung Aung, a member of the Township Economic Promotion Committee and staff officer from the Township Agriculture Department, outlined the terms and conditions of the loan agreement. He then handed over the funds to representatives from the Ward Economic Promotion Committees in attendance.
During the event, the State Economic Promotion Fund Committee disbursed K 36.0 million in loans to 45 farmers from Ward-1 and Ward-4 for 72 acres of farmland. Additionally, the committee provided K 31.0 million to 29 farmers in Ward-2 and Ward-3 for 62 acres of farmland. The loans carry an interest rate of 0.5 percent and are to be repaid within three years.— Phungkan (Putao)
