Stimulant tablets seized in Dawei

Police from Anti-Drug Squad arrested drug pushers along with stimulant tablets in the town of Kaleinaug, Yephyu Township, Dawei District on 27 January evening.

 

Upon information received, policemen led by Police Inspector Aung Thu from Dawei District Anti-Drug Squad searched a motorbike driven by Zin Ko Ko with Thu Rein Ko Ko onboard. The search led to the discovery of ten stimulant tablets from Thu Rein Ko Ko.

 

Futher information led to the search of a motorbike driven by Khant Ko Ko in Kanpauk village and Zaw Min Oo, confiscating 57 stimulant tablets from the former.

 

Upon the interrogation, it was learnt that the drugs were purchased from Khant Ko Ko. The authorities continued to search the house of Aung Ko Lat on Khaing Thazin road in the same village and seized 1080 stimulant tablets along with K 6.56 million in the bed room, forcing Khant Ko Ko to flee the scene.    Action is being taken against them according to the law.—Nanda Kyaw Swa
