The closing of a summer painting course took place at the community center in Katha, Sagaing Region this morning in conjunction with a prize awarding ceremony.
The course jointly organized by the Information and Public Relations Department and the township library supervisory committee is categorized into two classes—junior level and senior level. More than 200 trainees were given training by Painters U Khin Maung Yin and U Win Khaing Thaw. Necessary teaching aids were donated by the township library supervisory committee and well-wishers.
At the ceremony, photographers, painters, a poet and an official from the Information and Public Relations Department presented awards to prize winners.—Han Myo Kyaw (Katha)
