Talks on African swine fever were jointly conducted by Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department and One Stop Shops at Kinton village in Mongnae Township, south of Shan State this morning.
During the talks, an official from the Township Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department clarified the background, symptoms and preventative measures against the virus and distributed pamphlets on knowledge about the virus to local people.
If any suspected animals with fever are found, local residents are to come forward with information to the heads of the villages. Also present on the occasion were local people and enthusiasts totaling some 150.
