Maritime trade up $216 mln as of 15 Nov

THE   value   of   Myanmar’s   maritime  trade  for  the  period  between  1  October  and  15  November  in  the  2019-2020  fiscal  year  totaled  US$3.3  billion,  an  increase  of  over  $216  million  compared with the year-ago pe-riod, according to data provided by the Ministry of Commerce.
Drop in paddy rate pulls down rice price even as government draws purchase plan

PADDY price is on the decline even as the government is draw-ing  up  guidelines  for  the  procurement of the crop at the basic price. In view of this, millers have  held  up  processing  rice,  bringing down the supply of rice at the Bayintnaung market and Muse gate, and cooling prices.
