Eleventh regular session of Second Amyotha Hluttaw holds its 24th meeting

Eleventh regular session of the Second Amyotha Hluttaw held its 24th meeting at the Amyotha Hluttaw’s building in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday. During the Hluttaw session, questions and answers were raised, three reports were clarified and two motions were discussed.

Myanmar-India trade in January up 28%
MYANMAR-INDIA bilateral trade totalled US$147 million in January, the fourth month of the fiscal year 2018-2019, with $70.4 million in exports and $77.4 million in imports, according to the monthly trade report of the Ministry of Commerce.

Second Pyithu Hluttaw holds 24th-day meeting of 11th Regular Session
THE Second Pyithu Hluttaw convened the 24th meeting of its 11th Regular Session yesterday. MPs raised questions on whether Myanmar’s maritime security will receive the needed support, IDPs fleeing from conflict zones will get proper citizenship verification, discussed the Rural Development Bill, and a motion tabled by U Tin Htwe of Waw constituency urging the Union Government to take decisive action in improving security and the rule of law in civil society. 
ASEAN-ERAT visits reception centres in Maungtaw as it cooperates in repatriation of displaced people
ASEAN-Emergency Response and Assessment Team-ASEAN ERAT delegation conducted a field visit to reception centres in Maungtaw from 8 to 10 March, conducting an initial survey for repatriation of displaced people from Rakhine State.
Upgrading road to Alaungdaw Kathapa to begin after pilgrimage season
The road to Alaungdaw Kathapa Cave in Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region, is to be upgraded to a concrete road following the pilgrimage season, said U Htee Maung, associated secretary of the Alaungdaw Kathapa Board of Trustees.
