AIA, recently announced that it has signed up its first life policy insurants, just after receiving its license from Ministry of Planning and Finance (MoPF).
Myanmar has earned over US$1.4 billion from border trade between 1 October and 22 November, exceeding the $312 million collected during the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
Sea trade accounts for over 84 per cent of rice exports in current fiscal million as of 15 November in the current financial year, as per data from the Commerce Ministry. Earlier, border trade was relatively high compared to sea trade in terms of rice exports.
THE Ministry of Planning and Finance on Thursday granted licenses to five foreign life insurance companies along with three joint venture life insurance companies with foreign partners and three non-life insurance companies, set up as joint ventures between local and foreign insurers.
