Traditional rowing festival to mark 71st Independence Day held in Ye

A traditional rowing festival to mark 71st Independence Day was held at the Ancient Mya Kantha Moat in Ye Township, Mon State this morning.

MP Dr. Aung Htun Khaing of Pyithu Hluttaw, MP U Myo Win of Amyotha Hluttaw, township administrator U Kan Win and chairman of Township Football Federation U Nyunt Swe opened the ceremony.

A total of 12 teams participated in the rowing competitions and the festival continues until 4 January.
