Two rescue camps set up in Kyaikmaraw to host flood victims

Two more rescue camps were set up in Kyaikmaraw Township, Mon State to accommodate flood victims as water level of the Attayan River continue to rise flowing incessant severe rains hit the area since 5 August.

The 2nd relief camp was established in the compound of No.3 basic education middle school. The staff from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided healthcare services and supplied drinking water bottles, rice and Ks. 2,100 each to 534 flood victims from 134 households taking shelter at temporary rescue camps on 7 August.

Similarly, volunteers and philanthropists from local social organizations donated rice containers and purified drinking water bottles to the disaster victims on the same day.—Cho Myat Myat Htwe
