A value-added foodstuff processing course was opened at the town hall in Kyunsu Township, Myeik District, Taninthayi Region this morning.
At the event, Deputy Director U Kyaw Zin Tun of Taninthayi Region Small-Scale Enterprise Department and U Sam Hmwe, head of the Township Fisheries Department explained the purpose of the course, followed by the presentation of essential tips for processing foodstuff by trainers.
The one-week training course covers 20 kinds of foodstuff producing techniques including fruit jams, juice, sauce, fried potato and snacks. The training course is designed to enable women to make money by setting up small-scale business.—Sithu Aung (Kyunsu)
