Vocational training courses concluded in Pathein

Vocational Training School (Pathein) of Education and Training Department under the ministry of Border Affairs held a ceremony to conclude the 4th hospitality training course, the 9th domestic handicrafts course and the 8th advanced sewing course at the meeting hall of the school in Kyaungpangone village in Pathein township, Ayeyarwady region this morning.

 

First, Chief Minister U Hla Moe Aung of Ayeyarwady Region Government made an opening speech before he gave each sewing machine to outstanding trainees. Then Col Kyaw Swa Hlaing, regional minister for Security and Border Affairs presented awards to outstanding trainees in hospitality course. This was followed by presentation of completion certificates to the trainees by person in charge of Education and Training Department (regional office).

 

Then, one of the trainees expressed words of thank to responsible officials for providing the trainees with daily allowance, travel allowance, uniforms and teaching aids during the course as well as for selling sewing machines with installment plan to the trainees to be able to start up in manageable businesses.

 

A total of 142 trainees, 75 trainees in hospitality course, 52 in domestic handicrafts course, 15 in advanced sewing course, completed the 14-week training courses concluded today. 420 trainees out of 960 from all over the country who attended the training courses have set up their own businesses.—Pathein District IPRD
