Gold Lite Myanmar and Sawdee Electronics donated 1,500 face masks and 60 bottles of hand sanitizers to Kyemon newspaper building in Pazundaung Township yesterday morning.
The two companies are part of a group supported by Aye Khin Medicine company. The donations were received by the Yangon-based Deputy Chief Editor of News and Periodicals Enterprise, U Hla Shwe, and officials who gave certificates of honor in return.
U Zaw Win Nyunt, one of the donors, said they cooperated with the aim of simply wishing to make donations. He said the face masks they have donated are of good quality to ensure safety and no fogging up of spectacles. He said they will continue making donations.
The same group donated 7,200 face masks to the Ministry of Health and Sports on 11 May and 900 face masks to the National Health Network at the National League for Democracy in Botahtaung Township on 13 May.—Aye Min Thu
