Yunnan temple donates rice, masks to grass roots in Mandalay

Yunnan temple donated rice and masks to low-income people in D-7 ward in Chanmya Tharzi Township in upper Myanmar’s financial hub of Mandalay city this morning.

 

At the event, vice chairman and executives of Yunnan temple together with the ward administrator handed out rice and facial masks to 67 low-income households in the ward. Each household received 15 liters of rice and five pieces of mask.

Besides, the temple has also donated K 10 million each to Mandalay Region Government and Mandalay City Development Committee in order to aid the city’s Covid-19 prevention measures. A list of 4000 low-income households in Mandalay district has been made to further provide them with rice and masks, an official from the temple said.—Than Zaw Min (IPRD)
