U Aung Hla Tun, Deputy Minister of Information, received Ms. Gail Gove, Reuters Chief Counsel, and Mr. Matthew Tostevin, Reuters Bureau Chief of Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, at the Information Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
A handover ceremony of 100 rice bags and 100 viss of cooking oil donated by the State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was held at the town hall in Falam, Chin State yesterday afternoon.
The 150 ft. long, 30 ft. wide one-storey structure was built with Ks. 200 million in which Ks. 50 million was contributed by Mr. William Henry Taylon, an official from the Southeast Asia Education Foundation and Ks. 135 million was donated by a prominent Buddhist monk and his disciples.
