With the aim of boosting Inle tourism industry and preserving of traditional culture, the first floating Thingyan Festival depicting traditional customs will be held at the Innlay Cultural Heritage Trust Complex in Nanpan village, Nyaung Shwe Township.

Under the E-ASIA project, a survey was conducted on households in Taegone village in Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region in order to facilitate electricity with the use of renewable energy yesterday.

The Children’s Literature Festival jointly conducted by the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Education and the Bago Region Government kicked off this morning.

The organization chose 20 villages in Myinmu Township to perform rural developmental schemes from 2019 to 2012. Ks. 450 million will be spent on implementing rural developmental tasks such as agriculture, livestock, food security and capacity enhancement programmes for women, said Daw Than Htay, Project Manager.     

A group of local authorities consisting of the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative Daw Wint War Tun, Amyotha Hluttaw Representative U Aung Kyaw Soe presented social pension to the senior citizens above 85 years old in Shadaw Township, Kayah State on 27 March.

The fire drill was organized by the Fire Services Department (FSD) under the Ministry of Home Affairs with the aim of ensuring fire safety measures and making arrangements for emergency situations.
