The government is opening elephant protection camps to increase the earnings of the State through green business or sustainable business that is not harmful to the natural environment, said Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Ohn Win yesterday at the opening of the country’s 19th elephant conservation camp.

A basic welding course, jointly conducted by Directorate of Industrial Collaboration and Rural Development Department, was opened at the vocational training school in the small city of Tada, Yangon South District yesterday morning.

A ceremony to launch a new concrete road was opened in Takhutpo village, Hlaingbwe township, Kayin state yesterday morning with remarks by U Saw Chit Khin, chairman of Kayin State Hluttaw and an official of Border Guard Force. 

Eight CCTVs were put in place at South Nawin Dam in Paukkhaung Township, Bago Region over a recent rumor that the dam was on the brink of collapse.

A ceremony to put a new earth road into commission was held in Thanpayapin village, Pauknwechon village-tract, Pyay township, Bago region was held yesterday with remarks by MP Dr. Soe Soe Kyi of Pyithy Hluttaw and MP U Thet Win Hlaing of Bago Region Hluttaw.

Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Gyi held a discussion yesterday morning at the university with the rector, pro rector, department heads and teachers at Yangon Region University of Information Technology.
